In April we toured the impressive Nissan Body Assmbly Plant with our own personal tour guide who also happens to be a member of the executive committee. They are welding with nealy 1000 robots and even using programmable maniplulators to immediately improve dimensional concerns on the fly during production without stopping the equipment!
Another month we had a tour of Paulo in Murfreesboro. We had a great tour and learned about their various heat treating and quenching processes.
Thimonth we will tour Nissan in Decherd, TN. This will be the last tour until the fall, and will unfortunately be limited to 30 people. Please confirm your reservations early and include the name of your employer. But you better hurry up, there are only 30 slots and when they are gone, they are gone!

Chapter Planning - Our Chapter’s Executive Committee meetings are open for all members to attend. If you are interested in our chapter’s planning (and complementary dinner), join in with us any time. We typically meet on the 1st Tuesday of the month at LINK Systems’ training room, 444 McNally Drive, Nashville, 37211. Please let me know if you, or someone that you know, is interested in attending. Dinner is provided at 6:00, and the meeting follows at 6:30.
